Favorite J. Crew Sale Finds Under $50 (most under $30!)
I'm trying to refrain from shopping this month, which is hard when there are so many good sales going on right now. So instead of actually purchasing stuff I thought I'd share some of my picks! J. Crew is offering 40%-50% off select styles with coupon code SALEFUN. I picked three of my favorites in each category - Tees, Tops, Shorts, Skirts, and Dresses - all under $50!
SKIRTS
TEES

1. Striped Cotton Tee ($15) - I've been needing a short-sleeved striped tee so I'd love to scoop this one up at such a great price! 2. Vintage Cotton V-Neck ($12) - love the army green color, General Surplus. 3. Side-Slit Tunic ($18) - I love the length on this tee and the side slits. You can see them better in the other pictures on jcrew.com.
TOPS
Two high-quality basics and one fun out-there print!
SHORTS
I love all of these fun printed shorts! I'd love to add all three to my closet and would definitely have a hard time choosing between one of the first two!

I saw another blogger (can't remember which one now, of course) in a bright yellow skirt and it looked so cute! I love the lace detail on this one. I've had my eye on this flippy crepe skirt for a while, so it's really tempting at $20! I've also been wanting to get another pencil skirt in a brighter color, like this pretty seashore blue.
Let me know in the comments what your picks at J. Crew would be! Don't forget to use coupon code SALEFUN for 40% or 50% off!
Update: The promo code changed from when I first posted this so I updated that. It looks like a lot of the prices have gone down a little more but things are going fast so not everything may be available anymore. Happy shopping!

Simple Statement Necklace + Basics
I decided I wanted to wear this fun sparkling blue necklace today and then based the rest of my outfit around that. This plain black tee was one of my recent June purchases. The high neckline was good for work and worked well with the sparkling necklace and comfortable jeans. I grabbed my light green cardigan and comfy black peep-toe wedges to finish off the look.

Guest Post: Sundresses and Sandals
My sister Jenn and cousin Christina had such cute sundresses and flat sandals on down the shore, so I asked to feature them on the blog and they happily agreed! I love Jenn's mint tie-dye dress and how she wore it with silver bangles and neutral sandals. Christina's navy and white fit and flare dress fits her perfectly and looks great with the white rope sandals. Throw in a pop of red and this look would be great for the 4th of July tomorrow! Thanks for sharing your cute summertime looks on the blog, ladies!

Jenn's Outfit Details: (both on sale!)
Dress: Macy's
Sandals: Macy's
Christina's Outfit Details:
Dress: Charlotte Russe
Sandals: Target (thinking about snagging a pair for myself too!)

White Scuba Dress

I got this dress as part of my little shopping spree at the Elie Tahari Outlet in May. I wasn't sure when I would wear it, but my nephew's christening at the shore this weekend was the perfect event! My sister said it looked futuristic with the zipper down the front and the scuba material. I paired it with these killer lace-up heels that I got as a gift from my mother-in-law. I also wore some gold and white bangles and my monogram straw clutch. I got a lot of compliments which is always fun! Do you have a little white dress? I think they are perfect for summertime events! (Although a little risky with all the little kiddies in my family!)
Outfit Details:
Dress: Elie Tahari Nina Dress in Joey White
Clutch: Bosom Body Bags, The Flag Lady (similar)
Bracelets: Nordstrom - Gold & White Bangle, Pave Link Bracelet
Heels: Ivanka Trump Delfino Cage Sandals, Macy's
Sunglasses: Tory Burch

Shades of Blue

I wore one of my new skirts to a Mary Kay party at my friend's house this past weekend. The skirt is cyan blue with a turquoise band at the bottom, so I paired it with a navy silk blouse to stay in the same blue color family. I also had on a sparkly gold and blue necklace that is mostly hidden under the collar of the top. This skirt did wrinkle pretty easily from sitting in the car. I can definitely see myself wearing it in other ways though, like with a striped top and a belt. The flowy shape and lightweight material are perfect for the hot summer days! It'd also be great for work if it were a few inches longer.
Outfit Details:
Blouse: Elie Tahari Judith Blouse in Navy Yard
Skirt: J. Crew Factory via Plato's Closet (similar in chambray)
Necklace: J. Crew Factory Thorn & Crystal Necklace
Sunglasses: Tory Burch
Makeup: Mary Kay Berry Tart Lip Gloss & Mary Kay At Play set in Earth Bound (only $10 - although you can't see it under my sunglasses)
