Gift Guide: Mary Kay Holiday Beauty & Skincare Ideas

I wanted to share some of the adorable Mary Kay gifts that are perfect for the women in your life - at a few different price points!  I also have ideas for gifts for men, too.  Send me an email (at seewhatkatiewears@gmail.com) if you are interested in ordering!  I offer free shipping for orders over $75!  (You can also order regular and holiday products online at my Mary Kay website, but message me if you are interested in one of these specially wrapped gifts!)

"Coffee and Cream" ($12) is a fragrance free or peach hand cream wrapped in a holiday mug with a Keurig cup.  It's a perfect gift for teachers or holiday hostesses!

Oil free eye make-up remover and any MK Mascara - Ultimate or Lash Love ($30) in an adorable Santa gift box.  The eye make-up remover is awesome; I use it every night!  The mascara is also a huge best seller!  This is a perfect gift for women of any age!

Wrapped Satin Hands set with Christmas Pot Holders ($38) - great gift for the chef in your life!  It comes in the fragrance free or peach!

"Gas Gloves" ($15 for full size; $5 for travel size) - everyone could use a little moisturizing!  Great gift for the teachers, mail carriers, bus drivers, etc.!

Shoot me an email if there is anything you are interested in!  All of these options can be customized - for example you could add an eye shadow quad to the eye makeup basket or you could order a wrapped Satin Lips set.  I highly recommend all of these products and think they make wonderful gifts!

Shades of Blue

I wore one of my new skirts to a Mary Kay party at my friend's house this past weekend.  The skirt is cyan blue with a turquoise band at the bottom, so I paired it with a navy silk blouse to stay in the same blue color family.  I also had on a sparkly gold and blue necklace that is mostly hidden under the collar of the top.  This skirt did wrinkle pretty easily from sitting in the car. I can definitely see myself wearing it in other ways though, like with a striped top and a belt.  The flowy shape and lightweight material are perfect for the hot summer days!  It'd also be great for work if it were a few inches longer.

Printed Scarf, Purple Sweater, White Coat

Casual outfit for family New Year's Day dinner.  This fun printed infinity scarf was a gift for my birthday a few years ago from a good friend.  I love when people give you gifts that you wouldn't have selected for yourself.  At the time I didn't have any infinity or printed scarves, so this one was really needed!

I have a few resolutions for this year.  Mainly to keep up with the healthy things that make me feel good (running, eating well, reading for fun, getting enough sleep).  I also have a few style and blog resolutions:

  • Dress creatively
  • Build a high quality wardrobe
  • Take pictures in new places
  • Work on the blog design
Do you have any style resolutions for 2014?  Let me know in the comments!

P.S. One more day or so for the $50 Mary Kay giveaway! Don't forget to enter!  Click here to enter. :-)

$50 Mary Kay Holiday Giveaway!

I love my Mary Kay skincare and make-up products so much.  I am so excited to be running this giveaway with my sister Anne!!  Anne started her MK business last year and has had nothing but wonderful things to say about the company.  She did my make-up for this New Year's Eve look and also for one of the most important days of my life - my wedding in September!  I was so happy with my look!  Here's a couple shots from our wedding day:  (Taken by our very talented photographer, Brett Martelli.)

Ahh, what an amazing day!

Some of my favorite Mary Kay products are the day and night solutions, the moisturizer, cream eyeshadow, the eye make-up remover, and the mascara.  Oh and I LOVE my facial highlighting pen and my favorite shade of blush, Shy Blush!

This awesome giveaway will be open for one week.  The winner will be randomly selected on Saturday January 4th!

New Year's Eve Outfit

Here's an outfit I think would be fun for New Year's Eve or another night out!  It's a shimmery blouse but sequins would work too!  I paired it with a skater skirt with faux-leather accents, opaque tights, and black booties to create a long leg line.  I wore my favorite mini cross-body purse.  It adds a nice pop of color and holds everything you need and you can keep your hands free!  I also had a glamorous make-up look courtesy of my sister Anne!  We went with neutrals for my eyes and bold lips!  Check out the next post for more information and to enter our giveaway for the chance to win a $50 gift certificate!
