Ribbed Olive Sweater Dress

This is the last sweater dress from Tobi that I have to share! This one is so cozy and perfect for everyday. I threw it on with leggings here. (Love these ones from Zella. They are great for working out and are comfortable for wearing like this.). I have also worn this sweater dress with skinny jeans. I love the notches detail at the side and the ribbing and olive color. I definitely recommend checking out what Tobi has to offer. Sizing note: I would say the dresses ran true to size. I wear a Small/Medium and ordered the Medium, which fits well but I think I could probably have done the small.

Shoulders Out

As I mentioned in my last post, I have been loving the sweater dresses from Tobi"> They are so cozy and warm.  My younger brother was playing with his band at a bar and this dress was the perfect thing to wear.  The cut out shoulders are so fun but it was freezing so the dress and fleece leggings and boots kept me nice and warm!  I'm also wearing another Christmas gift here - this amazing leather jacket from my in-laws!

Cozy Sweater Dress

I got this cozy sweater dress a few weeks ago from Tobi"> (as well as a couple others that I will be sharing next week) and I have been wearing it so much. It's been a very cold winter and this dress is super warm! I have mostly been wearing it with leggings but it looks cute with skinny jeans too! I love the lace up design, which has been a pretty big trend this fall/winter. I got these short Ugg boots for Christmas and have been wearing them pretty much daily. I love my more stylish boots but its hard to beat Uggs in terms of warmth and comfort, especially for casual days. Oh and I am obsessed with these gorgeous earrings I got for Christmas from my husband's Aunt Kym. They are from Queen Bee Designs!

Sorry about the shadows in these pictures. I didn't have a ton of time but I wanted to get a post up on here!

Hi Again!

It's been so long since I blogged but I have been thinking about this little spot lately!  We welcomed our second son, Jacob, into the world this spring, so life has been very full and wonderful.  I was home all summer with my boys, which was amazing.  We spent lots of time going on adventure hikes, trips to the park, story times, and snuggling at home.  In September, Ethan started school and I started back to work!  The weather has been so warm this fall, though, that it has still felt like summer!

There have been a lot of subjects piquing my interest lately and I was thinking of sharing some of that here!  I have really been enjoying YouTube videos and Netflix documentaries lately.  (And podcasts but that's a separate topic.)  I came across the topic of minimalism.  I'm by no means a minimalist but I have been incorporating some of the ideas into my life.  One thing I have been doing is trying a capsule wardrobe this fall.  I may do a few blog posts about my capsule wardrobe journey and what I think so far, including whether I'll do it again.

Striped Pants for Work + loving Le Tote

Ann Taylor Loft occasionally has some amazing sales. They had a pretty good one going on a few weeks ago with 60% off all sale items. That's when I scooped up these cute striped pants, along with fun coral pants and maroon printed pants. I wish I had found more cute tops to go with them!  (50% off of sale happening right now at Loft!)

I'm also wearing two items from one of my Le Tote boxes, the blazer and purse here. I'm on my second month of doing Le Tote and so far I have been LOVING it! I got 4 totes last month. My biggest tip (so far) for making the most of Le Tote: Friday or Saturday delivery! I have my totes timed to come on Fridays or Saturdays.  Since there is no mail on Sunday, I always want to have a tote on Sundays.  Plus I enjoy having new clothes for the weekend.

I haven't been photographing my outfits as often lately but I have definitely been loving all the variety I get from Le Tote!

Blue Lace

I wore this beautiful Monique Lhuillier dress a few weeks ago.  I rented it from Rent the Runway for Easter.  I totally wish I owned this dress though because I love that it has sleeves so I don't have to worry about a sweater.  The dress was also very well made with high quality material.  I paired it with classic pearl jewelry, a black purse, and black pumps for the celebration.  (This was my second time doing the Rent the Runway by the way.  I am a fan!  I got the PRO this time so I'll probably rent again sometime soon.)

Trunk Club Review

I used to love going to the mall and spending a few hours trying on clothes and hunting for deals.  The past few years I've migrated more towards online shopping and even more so this past year with a baby at home. So it was the perfect timing when I read about Trunk Club on Liz's blog, 26 and Counting.

I've been intrigued by the idea of clothing boxes in the past, even filling out forms and signing up for emails to start the process, but I never follow through.  I couldn't get over the idea of paying a styling fee and I worried about having to opt out each month or risk getting charged.  With Trunk Club, I don't have to worry about either of those things!  There is no styling fee with Trunk Club and shipping both ways is free. Plus, the trunks only come when you request them.  Totally zero risk!  I also like that it is a Nordstrom company.  Their customer service is superb.

I did my first trunk in February and it was so fun!  I filled out the form online.  A few hours later, I got a call from my stylist Giselle.  We chatted for a few minutes about what I was looking for - pieces that would mix well with what I already own, that I could wear for work or on the weekend.

Trunk Club Example

A few days later a huge box showed up at my door!  The box itself is really cute and resembles a trunk.  It was so fun trying on all of the clothes and accessories inside.  It was tempting to keep it all!  I felt like my stylist had a good idea of my style and needs.  Most of the pieces I felt like I would have picked out myself.  There were a few wild cards too, that I wasn't sure about but then loved when I tried them on - like this Topshop Embellished Sheer Top.  (Sold out now and I ended up returning but it was really cute!)  Since the trunks are so big, I think monthly would be too much for me, but once a season will be perfect!
Here's an outfit I put together with one of the pieces from from my Trunk.

I am really looking forward to doing another trunk for the spring/summer!  Side note - I also appreciate how Trunk Club doesn't send tons of emails. Also I did this review of my own accord without any compensation from Trunk Club.  I do get a bonus though if you are interested in trying Trunk Club and use my referral link! - https://www.trunkclub.com/my/invite/5SUKEY  (Once you sign up, you can pass your referral link on to your friends too.)
