Blue Lace

I wore this beautiful Monique Lhuillier dress a few weeks ago.  I rented it from Rent the Runway for Easter.  I totally wish I owned this dress though because I love that it has sleeves so I don't have to worry about a sweater.  The dress was also very well made with high quality material.  I paired it with classic pearl jewelry, a black purse, and black pumps for the celebration.  (This was my second time doing the Rent the Runway by the way.  I am a fan!  I got the PRO this time so I'll probably rent again sometime soon.)

Trunk Club Review

I used to love going to the mall and spending a few hours trying on clothes and hunting for deals.  The past few years I've migrated more towards online shopping and even more so this past year with a baby at home. So it was the perfect timing when I read about Trunk Club on Liz's blog, 26 and Counting.

I've been intrigued by the idea of clothing boxes in the past, even filling out forms and signing up for emails to start the process, but I never follow through.  I couldn't get over the idea of paying a styling fee and I worried about having to opt out each month or risk getting charged.  With Trunk Club, I don't have to worry about either of those things!  There is no styling fee with Trunk Club and shipping both ways is free. Plus, the trunks only come when you request them.  Totally zero risk!  I also like that it is a Nordstrom company.  Their customer service is superb.

I did my first trunk in February and it was so fun!  I filled out the form online.  A few hours later, I got a call from my stylist Giselle.  We chatted for a few minutes about what I was looking for - pieces that would mix well with what I already own, that I could wear for work or on the weekend.

Trunk Club Example

A few days later a huge box showed up at my door!  The box itself is really cute and resembles a trunk.  It was so fun trying on all of the clothes and accessories inside.  It was tempting to keep it all!  I felt like my stylist had a good idea of my style and needs.  Most of the pieces I felt like I would have picked out myself.  There were a few wild cards too, that I wasn't sure about but then loved when I tried them on - like this Topshop Embellished Sheer Top.  (Sold out now and I ended up returning but it was really cute!)  Since the trunks are so big, I think monthly would be too much for me, but once a season will be perfect!
Here's an outfit I put together with one of the pieces from from my Trunk.

I am really looking forward to doing another trunk for the spring/summer!  Side note - I also appreciate how Trunk Club doesn't send tons of emails. Also I did this review of my own accord without any compensation from Trunk Club.  I do get a bonus though if you are interested in trying Trunk Club and use my referral link! - https://www.trunkclub.com/my/invite/5SUKEY  (Once you sign up, you can pass your referral link on to your friends too.)

Lurap Product Review

Lurap (Luv-Ur-App) contacted me about doing a product review. I liked the styles I saw on their website and picked out this colorblocked tunic. It was labeled as a dress when I ordered but I see it is listed as a top now and is definitely tunic-length on me. I sent my measurements for a custom fit so it fits well otherwise. The arms are nice and long.  I wore it with comfy jeggings and flats.  The shipping was fast too, which is a definite plus!

Merry Christmas!

I have a quick minute while my husband and son are napping so I wanted to wish you all a very Merry Christmas! I also wanted to share my Christmas Eve outfit. I have seen other bloggers showcasing really cute outfits from White Plum so I ordered a few items for the holiday season, including this festive dress. I love the ruffle sleeve detail and the easy shape. I paired it with my well-loved Stella and Dot Trinity Necklace and black tights and boots. It is the warmest Christmas I can remember, over 70 degrees in Philadelphia!

My Review of Maple Holistics Hair and Skincare & How You Can Score Free Products Too!

Since Ethan was born, I have gotten more interested in doing things naturally or eating or using organic when possible.  So it was perfect timing that Maple Holistics reached out about a product review!  I selected the Sage Shampoo, Argan Oil Conditioner, and Dead Sea Mud Mask.  I also received the Pomegrenate lip balm.

I’ll start with the hair products.  I love the smell of both the Sage Shampoo and Agran Oil Conditioner.  I picked them because they are two of Maple Holistic’s bestsellers.  I see on their website that the Sage Shampoo is good for treating dandruff.  This isn’t a concern for me, but that’s a plus if that is something you like in a shampoo.  I love that the products are all natural and they make my hair feel nice and soft.  I have been using the shampoo and conditioner a few times a week for about two months now and I have been really enjoying them.   I like switching up my shampoo and conditioner so I have been switching off between my regular L’Oreal products and the Maple Holistic shampoo and conditioner.  I would definitely recommend them!  My favorite part is definitely the smell – it’s smells great while you are washing your hair and leaves your hair smelling nice too!

Next up, the Dead Sea Mud Mask!

One of my favorite ways to relax is soaking in a warm bath.  I felt like I was having the full spa experience when I lit some candles and put on this mask.  It left my skin feeling really soft and smooth.  My skin has been really sensitive lately so I have been wary of using it too often, but it has made my skin feel nice when I have used it.

Lastly, the beeswax lip balm was a nice surprise!  I keep it on my dresser and put it on in the morning before I run out the door or at night before going to bed.  It is a great moisturizing lip balm.  I love the pomegranate smell and flavor and am interested in trying the other ones!

And now how you can get free products too!  Maple Holistics is offering one free full-size product if you write a review on Amazon.  See their webpage https://www.mapleholistics.com/free-products/ for more information. So you would need to purchase a product first and then you could select another product for free!  The cheapest product they have on Amazon is a 4 pack of the lip balm for $7.15, so that would be the easiest way to get your free product!  The rest of their products are in the $10-$20 range.  I think I may try the Dead Sea Salt Bath Soak next!
