Merry Christmas!

I have a quick minute while my husband and son are napping so I wanted to wish you all a very Merry Christmas! I also wanted to share my Christmas Eve outfit. I have seen other bloggers showcasing really cute outfits from White Plum so I ordered a few items for the holiday season, including this festive dress. I love the ruffle sleeve detail and the easy shape. I paired it with my well-loved Stella and Dot Trinity Necklace and black tights and boots. It is the warmest Christmas I can remember, over 70 degrees in Philadelphia!

I went with a base layer of all black under this cozy mixed pattern cardigan.  I love the fringe on this sweater.  It's the perfect topper for the in between type of weather that we have been having so much of lately.  I am loving the mild end to fall for sure!

Stripes & Monogram

I was the Maid of Honor in my sister's wedding this past September and I am wearing three of the adorable gifts that she gave me! She ordered these pretty monogram bags for all of the bridesmaids off of Etsy. I love how it is small but holds so much. It is convenient because you can wear it as a clutch for a more formal event (like I did for a wedding last weekend) or as a crossbody purse as I am wearing it here. She also gave me the engraved necklace and pretty bracelet I am wearing here. The bracelet is engraved with "Always Near XO" and I always think of her when I wear it, even though I don't see her as much now that she lives in California. I can't wait to go visit her and her husband in a few weeks!

Sweater Weather

October started and fall really rolled in, so I wore this warm sweater coat my mother-in-law gave to me with a scarf and boots for my cousin's bridal shower today.  I used a black wrap dress and tights as my base layer and then brightened the look up with this lightweight scarf.  I'm always a little sad about the warm weather going away, but I do love fall fashion.  It's always fun pulling on the boots again!

Swing Dress & Scarf

I picked up this cute swing dress earlier this summer from Old Navy.  I first wore it earlier this summer with wedges and a statement necklace.  (I didn't get a chance to snap pics the first time so this is the first time it is making it on the blog.)  The weather has been beautiful the past couple days, so this black dress worked great as a base layer for some layering.  I threw on this fun scarf and slub sweater with cute silver flats.  It was a fun weekday outfit!

This little guy wanted to make an appearance!

Floral Milly for Kohl's

I wore this pretty floral dress to a friend's bridal shower yesterday.  The weather was beautiful this weekend.  Perfect for walking on the trail and spending time by the pool.  My sister Mary Beth's wedding is less than 2 weeks away now, so the excitement is about to start! It was nice to have a quiet weekend as we gear up for all of the fun.  I've been fighting off a cold all week and poor Ethan has a touch of it, too, so we definitely needed the extra rest.

I found this Milly for Kohl's dress in the sale rack at my Kohl's a few weeks ago.  This was one of the dresses that I had my eye on when I first checked out the collection a couple months ago, but it sold out online before going on sale, so I really lucked out by finding it in the store!  I paired it with comfy black wedges and simple necklace layering.  This is actually the second time I wore this dress.  The first time was for Mary Beth's bridal shower last month...so it's basically my bridal shower dress!

I've really been enjoying the Designation collections at Kohl's.  The next one will be the Thakoon collection, which comes out September 10th.  I'll be sure to check it out and report back!

First DVF Wrap Dress

One of my New Year's resolutions for 2014 was to start to purchase more forever pieces.  One of the items on my wish list was a Diane Von Furstenberg wrap dress.  Wrap dresses work so well on different body types.  The shape is so flattering.  I saw this great printed DVF dress when I was shopping for outfits to wear back to work.  I scooped this wrap dress up at Nordstrom's a few weeks ago, just before the half yearly sale started.  I wore it to the Best of the Main Line party last week with my husband.  The party was a really fun date night!  We tried so many different bites of foods and mixed drinks or local wines/beers.  I felt really comfortable and chic in this wrap dress.  I went with nude laser cut sandals, classic pearl jewelry, and a bright clutch.  This dress would work easily any season.  Since it was a hot night, I bunched the sleeves up to a 3/4 sleeve length.  In the cooler months, it would be easy to layer.  I'd also throw a black cami underneath if I were going to wear it to work.  Since it's a wrap dress, I can just cinch it tighter as I finish losing the baby weight and my shape continues to change.  And at 40% off, it was definitely a good buy!

Mint & Yellow for Summer

I saw this cute mint and yellow top as I was heading out the door at Kohl's earlier this summer, so I quick scooped it up. I paired it with my comfy boyfriend jeans here and my bright MK purse and lace up heels. I wore this outfit to a casual bar with my husband and friends for dinner and drinks! I'm also sharing a picture of Ethan at the end. I know I've been MIA during my maternity leave, but the little guy is keeping me busy! Hoping to start getting back into more of a rhythm soon, but I make no promises...I do have some cute work looks to share though, now that I've started going back into the office! By the way, Nordstrom's Anniversary Sale is happening right now - it's a great time to pick up some dresses for work or fun!

Maxi Skirt

I never wore maxi skirts in the past, but I've really started liking them since the baby came.  I have three of them now!  They are as comfortable as sweatpants, but a lot chicer.  I like the print on this one and the blue, coral, and raspberry color scheme.  I also love that it has side slits.  It's a nice cool option for the summertime.  I went with a plain black tee on top and a long silver necklace and flats for a lunch date and run

Showing off one of the two amazing diaper bags I got at my baby shower.  I love this adorable Kate Spade one that my grandparents gave me!  It's a perfect size and has so many useful pockets.

Navy Stripes

This outfit is almost entirely Old Navy - all except the accessories. I've talked before about how much I like Old Navy for casual clothes. They have so many can't styles and you can't beat the price with the frequent sales they run.

I wore this a few weeks ago for church and a relaxed BBQ at our house.  It's a simple outfit but feels put together with the bright purse and gold accents in the necklace and shoes.  I felt like me in it, which is really important in this postpartum phase.

Mother's Day in Milly for Kohl's

Springtime has been such a nice time to have a baby.  We've been enjoying eating on the patio and taking walks around the neighborhood and nearby trails.  Mother's Day this past Sunday was another beautiful day.  After breakfast in bed and a gift from Jon and Ethan (a Kindle Paperwhite - perfect for all of the time I have spent nursing), we went to mass (Ethan slept soundly in his seat the whole time) and then spent the day barbecuing with our families.  Ethan looked adorable in a 1st Mother's Day onesie from my friend, Nicole.  I especially love the little bow tie!

I wore this printed caftan from the Milly for DesigNation line at Kohl's (for part of the day - having a newborn means multiple outfit changes for both baby and mommy).  I ran out one night to try on a few items from the line.  In addition to the tunic, I also ended up getting the striped shirt dress and this fun tie-dye maxi.  I also really like these scuba dresses and skirts and still might order this one or this one if they stay available and the price drops some.
