Punchy Purse

I LOVE this fun watermelon crossbody bag that I received as a gift from Jon's very stylish and generous Aunt Renee! It was nice and sunny this weekend, although still a little chilly, so this bright purse added a nice springy pop to the simple neutral outfit.  I also went with a similarly colored necklace and earrings.   This parachute style sweater was a Christmas gift from my also very stylish and sweet Aunt Rita a few years ago.  It isn't a maternity top, but the swinging shape works with my baby bump.  I'm definitely starting to get a little tired and bored of my maternity clothes at this point, so it's always fun to find something new that I can make work in my closet.

Pop of Pink

This cute cowl neck sweater was another one of the maternity items I borrowed from my sisters.  I love the bright pink stripe between the gray and white and the pink bands on the sleeves.  I paired it with dark skinny jeans, boots, and gold jewelry on a sunny wintry day.

Side note - I am 35 weeks pregnant today!  Only 5 more weeks to go!

A-line Maternity Skirt

It was my dad's birthday this weekend and I felt like getting a little dressed up for the celebration.  One of the perks of having lots of sisters is sharing clothes!  This cute lace maternity top and medallion a-line skirt were passed to me from my older sisters.  I liked how the texture in the lace top paired with the pattern in the skirt.  Then I went with a gold chain link necklace and neutral bag and boots to complete the outfit.

Two-Tone Cardigan & 24 Week Bumpdate

I was searching for cardigans that would work for the rest of my pregnancy and potentially afterwards.  I found this one and another cozy one that I am planning to wear on Christmas Day at the new Century 21 in Center City.  I liked the colorblocking of the light tan on the front and darker brown in the back.  I wore it with a teal green maternity top, a pendant necklace, and straight-legged maternity jeans for my grandmom's 85th birthday dinner.

24 Week Bumpdate:

How Far Along:  24 weeks 4 days
Baby Size: Ear of Corn (8.5 inches 1.5 pounds)
Maternity Clothes:  Yes!  All maternity bottoms now, but some tops and sweaters still work.  Like this long, drapey cardigan.
Feeling:  Good! A little more tired this week, but the heartburn that I had for a few weeks has gone away (for now at least).  I've been sleeping really well though.
Food Cravings:  I had my first craving this weekend - for chicken wings!  Those are something I don't normally desire but I had a very specific desire for them and they tasted really good!  No other cravings so far.
Movement:  I've been feeling baby pretty regularly now, especially after meals and at night before bed.
Baby's Room:  On the to-do list for early next year! :-)

Thanksgiving Poncho

The sun finally came out, but it was a little cooler so I wore my new knit poncho!  I love it because it works well for pregnancy, but will still work well afterwards.  It pretty much hides everything underneath, which is also nice for the big Thanksgiving meal.  This time I paired the oatmeal colored poncho with my bootcut maternity jeans, tan purse and ankle boots.  Since the poncho is oversized, it's best to pair it with something slimmer on bottom.  These bootcut jeans work, or in the future I'd wear it with skinny jeans and tall boots.  A comfy fall outfit!  Happy Thanksgiving!

J Brand Maternity Brooke Boot Cut Jeans

I am lucky to have two older sisters that were recently pregnant who generously shared their maternity clothes with me.  It was a ton of fun sorting the bags, trying on clothes and thinking about the upcoming months.  Thanks Anne & Theresa!

The one thing I did decide to get new was some pants.  I wear jeans often and have heard lots of good things about the maternity jeans from J Brand, so when I saw they were on sale at Gilt.com, I quickly ordered a couple pairs.  The first pair to arrive were these Mama J Brooke Boot Cut jeans, which I have been wearing tons since they arrived.  Last week (at 19 weeks) was the last week when I could wear my regular jeans without a belly band.  These jeans have been so comfy I haven't even tried the belly band again.  I can't wait until the skinny jeans I ordered arrive!  I definitely recommend J Brand maternity jeans - especially if you can find them at Gilt.  With the Gilt price plus a special 2 day 20% off coupon, I ordered 3 pairs of jeans for $200, which is about the normal price for one pair.  The jeans are really comfortable with just the right amount of stretch, a higher raise in the back and elastic panels in place of the front pockets, plus the length is perfect.  I never wore J Brand jeans in the past, but based on how much I like these maternity jeans, I will definitely be looking to add a pair or two of regular J Brands after the baby comes!

Fall Baseball Cap

baseball cap, fall outfit

There's something so fun and casual about throwing on a baseball cap.  I loved the seersucker one I wore during the summertime (see it here) and I love this two-toned gray textured hat for fall.  I found it in the boys section at Marshall's but its adjustable so it fit me too.  I paired it with an open front cardigan, a big patterned scarf, boyfriend jeans, and comfy slip-ons.  Easy outfit for a fall brunch and travel day.  The oversized scarf and cardigan combo also works well for covering up the baby bump a bit during this transition period!

Fall Staple: Ankle Boots

Between the weather cooling off and the leaves falling down, it really started feeling like fall this weekend!   One of my favorite fall staples are ankle boots.  I love these casual light brown booties from LC Lauren Conrad.  These are from last year, but this year's version is just as cute!  Another fall (and wintertime) staple is a cozy, knit sweater.  I picked this one up at Old Navy over the weekend.  Super warm and cozy - I definitely recommend it!

Puffer Vest & Boat Shoes

Our weekends lately have been super casual, full of settling in, running errands, and having friends and family over the house.  I layered a brown puffer vest over a lightweight gray sweatshirt and black tank for a day running around.  The sun was in and out of the sky so it was nice to have a vest to keep my core warm while the weather varied.  Easy outfit for early fall!
