Early Pregnancy Wedding Guest Attire

Jon and I went to one of his college friend's weddings this past weekend.  Since my bump is still on the smaller side I decided to wear this faux-wrap dress rather than a maternity dress.  Overall I liked how the ruching worked with my changing figure, although I wish the waistline was a smidge higher, which especially would have been nice after I ate dinner and my bump got a little bigger.  The long sleeves were good for the fall weather and this eggplant color fit in well with the other guests.  Most of the other female guests were in various shades of blue and purple.  I picked up this cute silver evening bag at the huge new Century 21 store in Philadelphia, which went well with my pave crystal bangles and earrings. Sometimes a new clutch or piece of jewelry is a fun way to bring some new life to an outfit without getting a whole new dress! If you're newly pregnant and looking for a dress, this style is a good one to look for when you're too small for maternity clothes but still want to camouflage a baby bump or a little belly.

Outfit Details:
Dress:  Alex and Ava, Nordstrom (similar, similarsimilar in maternity)
Jewelry:  Tiffany necklace; Nadri bangles & earrings (similar), Nordstrom
Shoes:  Nine West Flax Pumps, Macy's
Clutch:  Sasha Rhinestone Box Clutch via Century 21
Sunglasses:  Tory Burch

Since the ceremony was outside, I wore my cobalt blue wool coat which buttons up tall.  I only got this one picture below with Jon photobombing because we had to head out!

Wedding Wednesday: My Bridesmaid Dress + 7 Bridesmaid Dresses Under $100

I had a great time planning my wedding this past September 7th.  So I thought I'd start a new series, Wedding Wednesday, about some of the especially fun parts, starting with bridesmaid dresses!

The picture at the top is from when I was getting ready with all of my beautiful bridesmaids in their pretty dresses from BHLDN, Anthropologie's bridal store.  Below is a close-up of the bridesmaid dress - the BHLDN Sunroom Dress.  I loved the rose color, which is basically a pink coral.  It has removable straps so it could be worn strapless.  My bridesmaids preferred the look with the straps.  We ordered them on a super sale day around the holidays and ended up paying only $25 for each dress.  (Amazing deal since they were originally $220.)  They are very high quality and looked great on each of the lovely ladies!

This dress is no longer available on BHLDN, but here are 7 others under $100!  (Note:  most have other colors available once you click the link.  Many are also available in petite.)

J. Crew Louisa Dress in Silk Chiffon, Vintage Berry, $250 $89.99
J. Crew Taryn Dress, Dried Lavender, $250 $99.99
BHLDN Feria Dress, $220 $60
BHLDN Wingspan Dress, Sapphire, $220 $80
J. Crew Mollie Dress in Cotton Cady, Fresh Tangerine, $235 $99.99
Donna Morgan Blaire, Perfect Plum, $178 $59.99
Donna Morgan Grace, Pink Coral, $220 $59.99

$50 Mary Kay Holiday Giveaway!

I love my Mary Kay skincare and make-up products so much.  I am so excited to be running this giveaway with my sister Anne!!  Anne started her MK business last year and has had nothing but wonderful things to say about the company.  She did my make-up for this New Year's Eve look and also for one of the most important days of my life - my wedding in September!  I was so happy with my look!  Here's a couple shots from our wedding day:  (Taken by our very talented photographer, Brett Martelli.)

Ahh, what an amazing day!

Some of my favorite Mary Kay products are the day and night solutions, the moisturizer, cream eyeshadow, the eye make-up remover, and the mascara.  Oh and I LOVE my facial highlighting pen and my favorite shade of blush, Shy Blush!

This awesome giveaway will be open for one week.  The winner will be randomly selected on Saturday January 4th!
