Pink Stripes & Flats

This is the type of outfit I wear a ton in the spring and summer.  A bright, pretty dress with a lightweight structured jacket.  Then I change out the accessories.  Here I did casual python print sandals (which I need to replace) with a sparkly gold clutch and delicate jewelry.  On Mother's Day I wore a similar outfit but with a bigger bag and cutout heels.  It's an easy formula that you can dress up for fancier events or down for more casual days.

Umbrella Required + Sparkly TOMS

So it was raining pretty hard yesterday but I really wanted to try out my new lens, so Jon and I ventured out with our umbrellas and snapped a few pictures before we went to the mall, where I burned through some gift cards and started working on April's budget.  I wore a comfy outfit with some casual basics and threw on my sparkly TOMS.  I don't usually think to wear them but I like how they add a little bit of fun interest to this casual outfit!  I'm also wearing my new Tory Burch prescription sunglasses in the last picture.  I just picked them up recently and I think they will be really useful for sightseeing in Europe.  I usually only wear my glasses for driving or movies, so these will be really useful for the first of those!

Rain was pretty much hitting me in the face - hence the squinting!

Christmas Sweater Outfit for Decorating

Here's our Christmas tree!  We had the R&B/Pop Holiday station going on Pandora and our sparkling cinnamon Yankee candle burning away while we set up our tree and brought out the rest of our decorations.  We're planing to buy a tree skirt tomorrow and some hooks for our ornaments so our apartment will be all ready for my holiday brunch party on Sunday.  I felt like being festive so I brought out a sweater Jon had worn for our Christmas Sweater party a few years back.  We got it on Black Friday at Goodwill.  It's pretty funny the way the body of the sweater lines up with the sleeves so that the reindeer are running across the whole thing and the snowflakes go along the bottom.  (You can really see in the bottom pic!)  My first Christmas sweater of the season but not the last!  (I got another one from Urban Outfitters on Black Friday that is a tad bit more fashionable, haha.)

P.S. Love, Actually is on Netflix!
