AG Stilt Ikat Jeans Outfit

I ordered these jeans online and they ended up being a little bolder than I expected once I received them.  I toned them down a little bit with a dark purple sweater, fur vest, and brown boots.  It was a fun outfit for a busy Sunday.  Lunch with good friends and then an early family Christmas celebration.

I wore this gray tunic sweater with leggings and boots to go bowling on Friday night with my sister.  I usually go bowling once or twice a year and it's always a lot of fun!  I also would like to go ice skating at Penn's Landing.  Maybe next weekend - just saw there's a high of 52 next weekend!

Eggplant Dress Work Outfit

We got the rest of our decorations up!  Our home has felt much more cozy lately with our Christmas tree up and our new rug.  Next we need to decide about artwork or shelving on the big empty wall behind our sofa.

It was another snowy day in Philadelphia. I had my Cole Haan snow boots and huge North Face jacket on while I trudged to work.  Underneath I wore this eggplant jersey dress.  It s one of my favorites.  Partially because it was one of the outfits I wore for our engagement pictures last year!  It's a little low-cut so I wore a light pink slip underneath.   I threw on this gray sweater for some extra warmth and black tights and pumps with silver jewelry.

Layering and Lots of Sunshine

This is our balcony yesterday.  It looks a lot more snowy now!  The sun was a little tough in these pictures.  It cast a big shadow across half my body so I had to play around with the lighting.

This Lilly Pulitzer t-shirt dress is too short for me to wear on its own, except for maybe at the beach.  It works well with leggings, boots, and a sweater though.  We had a pretty quiet Friday and Saturday and a busy Sunday.  I threw a holiday brunch Mary Kay and Stella & Dot party.  It was a lot of fun to play hostess and visit with my fun friends!

Side note:  The Christmas sweater post from yesterday and talking with my friends today made me realize I definitely want to throw one this year!  So we're planning to host one in between Christmas and New Year's. :-)

Business Casual Outfit: Marled B&W Sweater, Oxblood pants, Leopard heels

This marled black & white sweater is so cozy.  I liked it with my maroon/oxblood pants.  I otherwise stuck to neutrals with a light black sweater vest, MK leather jacket, MK purse with gold accents, and leopard pumps.  It was a comfy business casual work look.

Purple Peplum & Pearls

This is my outfit from my 2nd day of work travel.  These pants from the Loft are awesome.  They are the Julie style which "fit narrow at the waistband with a slightly curved at hips."  They are super comfortable.  Be careful though because they will shrink if put in the dryer.

I really liked how these Bauble Bar necklace and earrings looked with this purple peplum top and black blazer.  These Nine West Flax pumps were also a great purchase!  They fit really well and the leather is soft; I've gotten a lot of use out of them this fall.

I've been wearing my gold Fossil watch a lot this trip too.  It was a Christmas gift from Jon last year. :-)

Work Travel Day 1 - Business Formal

I wore this suit on Monday for my first day of work travel.  Packing for this trip made me realize I really need another suit that fits me well.  A pant suit that is perfectly tailored to me is now on my list!

This trip has been going well.  Work-wise we're moving right along.  My hotel also has a nice gym so I'm right on track with my half-marathon training. Even with a TV on the treadmill running outside is way better than on a machine!  Glad to be going home soon!

Easy Sunday Outfit

 I spent Sunday mostly relaxing and playing with my little niece Anna.  I layered up since I was mainly inside.  This beautiful scarf was a gift from my Mom Mom-In Law.  She also gave me a pretty purple one too.  I took the above picture earlier in the afternoon and the bottom pictures out on our balcony in the evening.  I missed posting this yesterday because I was traveling for work.  Thankfully it looks like we will be finishing up early so I will be home in time for the Valley Forge Young Friends Holiday Party at the P.C. Knox House on Wednesday evening!  I missed it last year because I was traveling so I am happy to be able to attend this year!

Black White & Silver Aztec

Yesterday was mainly spent relaxing with some running and cleaning mixed in.  We went to Southwark in Bella Vista for a late dinner.  My steamed clams were delicious and I love the intimate 1920s vibe there.  Jon pointed out that it's nice there are no TVs.  They have a nice selections of wine, bourbon, and rye too.  Fortunately it wasn't too cold out.  I wore gray jeggings (although it's hard to tell in these pics.  Still learning my camera.)  with a black and white aztec top, black blazer, silver pumps, hot pink clutch, and white coat on top.  I threw on a black scarf and white hat as we were walking out the door and I wasn't too cold on the walk there.  Kind of hoping we get one big snowstorm and then a mild winter, but we'll see!

Black Friday Shopping Fun

Got my new camera this morning - Nikon Coolpix P520!  I've been having a lot of fun today starting to play around with it and I'm really happy with how the pictures have been turning out.

I packed this cashmere and wool blend turtleneck and black jeggings to wear with my black boots for lots of shopping and then more family time.  Jon and I found a new rug for our apartment.  It is really nice to see how it is coming together!  I also went to the mall with my mom and my sisters Mary Beth and Jenny.  My mom got us all a cozy sweater from Urban Outfitters.  I also found a fun festive sweater that I'm looking forward to wearing a lot in December.

Happy Thanksgiving!

We had such a nice Thanksgiving day yesterday!  It was a very cold but nice and sunny morning for an easy jog.  Then I speed baked tons of cookies.  We ate dinner and dessert #1 and played Scene It with my in-laws then went over to have dessert #2 with my family.  Also, HI FAMILY!  Now that you all know about this blog.  :-)  Thanks to my little sister Jenn for taking these pictures!

Now it's out to Best Buy to get some electronics!!  YAY for Black Friday.  Good luck shopping!!

Layering & leopard at work

We're doing a food drive at work.  This week you could wear jeans if you gave $1 a day towards the food drive.  I went with layers, gold accents, and leopard.  Last night we saw the new Hunger Games - so good!!  Definitely worth seeing in the theater.
